My name is Emily Bass, and I have a remarkable story to share. Born prematurely, I weighed less than a pack of sugar, but my spirit was sweet-sweet and determined. Nine years ago, during my parents' honeymoon in Israel, my mother was only 26 weeks pregnant when I decided it was time to make my entrance. Despite weighing a mere 900 grams at birth, I was embraced by the prematurity unit and cared for by the incredible Dr. Aryeh Simmonds, who now leads the unit.

For two months, I received hospitalization and artificial ventilation while my loving parents and the dedicated staff provided me with warmth and support. Today, my family and I returned from Germany to express our gratitude to the team of angels in the prematurity unit. Their amazing care and dedication made all the difference in my life.
