The Paris Olympics have been a spectacular event, with hundreds of athletes winning gold medals across a record number of sports. Meanwhile, Laniado Hospital has been earning its own accolades in healthcare back home in Israel.

Recent Ministry of Health results have ranked Laniado Hospital as the top facility in Israel for emergency department efficiency. Patients at Laniado are seen within just four minutes of arrival, thanks to an initial assessment (triage) that swiftly identifies risk factors, hastening treatment and providing peace of mind. This contrasts with the NHS guidelines in the UK, which set a target of 15 minutes in 2022, a standard that is often unmet.

The hospital also earned a commendable second place in cardiac rehabilitation.

Laniado also excelled in other areas. The hospital's Institute of Gastroenterology achieved the highest detection rate of polyps during colonoscopy screenings for individuals aged 50 and above. Additionally, Laniado led in the prompt administration of thrombolytic treatment for stroke patients, providing clot-dissolving agents to prevent severe injury, whether or not patients underwent brain catheterisation. The hospital also earned a commendable second place in cardiac rehabilitation.
