Netanya, Israel – July 2025

As missile threats against Israel continue, Laniado Hospital in Netanya is putting the finishing touches on what is now its most urgent and lifesaving development—the New Sheltered Maternity Unit. With construction nearly complete and the grand opening scheduled for September 2025, this fortified unit will serve as a critical refuge for mothers and newborns in a region facing growing security risks.

Despite nearing completion, dedications are still urgently needed to ensure the unit can open on time and operate at full capacity from day one.

Laniado Hospital currently serves over 500,000 residents across the Sharon region and sees more than 8,400 births annually—one of the highest figures in the country. Yet until now, its maternity facilities have only been partially sheltered. During recent missile attacks, mothers and newborns had just 90 seconds to reach safety, with some forced to wheel cribs into corridors during rocket fire. The expansion is not just a medical upgrade—it's a necessity for survival.

“This project is about far more than bricks and mortar,” said a spokesperson for Laniado Hospital UK. “It’s about giving every mother and baby the right to safety and dignity—even in wartime.”

The new 1,900m² fortified Maternity C unit will more than double the department’s capacity. It includes 25 fully protected amenity rooms (42 beds), a nursery, doctors’ wing, treatment and consultation rooms, and a dining hall—all designed to function seamlessly during red alerts and emergencies.

Every dedication will help safeguard the lives of thousands of mothers and babies for years to come.

Final Dedication Opportunities Still Available

As this project nears its critical completion stage, supporters still have a chance to leave a meaningful legacy while helping ensure the hospital opens on schedule.

Dedication options include:

  • Amenity Rooms – £75,000
  • Consultation Rooms – £85,000
  • Doctors’ Wing, Nursery, and Wings A–E – From £250,000 to £400,000
  • Full Naming Rights – Available on request

Every dedication will help safeguard the lives of thousands of mothers and babies for years to come.

A Legacy of Compassion and Resilience

Laniado Hospital was founded by Rabbi Yekutiel Halberstam z’tl, the Klausenberger Rebbe, as a living response to the horrors of the Holocaust—a place of healing rooted in compassion, dignity, and care for all, regardless of race or religion.

Today, as Israel faces new threats, that founding vision continues to inspire. The new sheltered maternity unit is more than a facility—it’s a statement of faith, humanity, and hope in the face of adversity.
