This week at Laniado saw two sets of triplets released home. The Ravimi family from Modi'in returned home with their trio of amazing girls who were born at week 31 weeks weighing just 1.2 kilos.

Lt. Col. Nirel Damati and his wife Tamara also recently left the maternity ward at Laniado Hospital with their extraordinary gift of triplets!

Laniado Hospital delivers over 8,000 babies annually. With the recent expansion of the delivery suite and an addition of a 2,000 square meter sheltered section to the Maternity department set to open in 2025. The number of babies born is expected to grow to 8,500.

Nirel, a lieutenant colonel in the reserves and the CEO of a successful tech startup, is currently serving in the Gaza Division as an Operations Division officer. He has been on reserve duty since being called up on October 7th.

Finding out I was expecting triplets was a tremendous shock.

While Nirel was on duty, Tamara received meticulous and professional care throughout her pregnancy. She visited the multiple pregnancy clinics at Laniado Hospital for regular check-ups under the supervision of Doctor Yael Pasternak. "Finding out I was expecting triplets was a tremendous shock," Tamara recalled. "I tried to stay calm, knowing my husband was serving in Gaza."

The triplets were given special care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit until their discharge this week. Nirel expressed his emotions, saying, "Our strength as a Jewish people is to lift our heads above all the hardships and tragedies. After sorrow comes joy. May the birth of these beautiful souls bring happiness to all the people of Israel."
