A car belonging to a real estate developer exploded in Netanya last week, causing a second car to go up in flames.

According to reports, it was believed the car was blown up as a warning message to a Netanya property developer. A man was injured when he attempted to open a door of the vehicle to free trapped passengers however the vehicle was empty. He was taken to Laniado and treated for minor injuries.

In recent weeks, signs were recently posted around Netanya warning people not to do business with the developer who was identified as the owner of the vehicle.

“The contractor is a scammer, steals projects, and is a fraud,” one of the posters read.

Police continue to investigate.
