Laniado Hospital UK is proud to announce that 11 dedicated runners from the UK will participate in the Berlin Marathon at the end of this month. Their mission is not only to complete the prestigious race but also to raise £30,000 in support of the new emergency department at Laniado Hospital, Netanya.

Laniado Hospital has been at the forefront of providing vital healthcare services to the 500,000 residents of the Netanya/Sharon region, and the funds raised by these committed runners will go directly towards enhancing emergency care facilities. The hospital's new emergency department will be instrumental in addressing the growing healthcare needs in the region.

I've got mixed emotions about running this marathon with everything that's happening in Israel

One of the 11 runners, Laniado UK CEO Simon Silver shared his thoughts on the upcoming race, stating, ‘I've got mixed emotions about running this marathon with everything that's happening in Israel. But the fact that we're doing something to help Israel is really meaningful.’ Another runner, Jonathan Weissbart said ‘Participating in the Berlin Marathon with Laniado will give me the opportunity to run through the streets where my father might have played as a child before he left for London in 1933.’ These sentiments resonate deeply with the group, who are united in their effort to support a cause that is close to their hearts, especially during these challenging times for Israel.

Laniado Hospital UK is calling on the community to rally behind these runners and contribute to their fundraising efforts. Every donation will make a significant impact in helping the hospital provide life-saving care to those in need.
