During chanuka at Laniado, the children in the childrens ward were treated to Magicians and clowns, balloons and lots of surprises - there wasn’t a boring moment!
Chanukah is a children’s holiday. Youngsters look forward the entire year to a week long vacation, running from performance to show to the annual “Festigal” music competition, to family get-togethers with presents, jelly donuts, and more.
To make sure that children confined to hospital beds during Chanukah did not miss out on the fun, Laniado organized activities for the entire duration of the holiday.
Every night, the Children’s Division hosted a different group of volunteers, who organized performances, arranged games, planned fun activities and, above all, put the children in a happy festive mood!
Among the participating organizations were Bank Discount, which sent a balloon artist and distributed gift packages; Cellcom, whose volunteers made dreidles and jugs together with the children; and the Elitzur Netanya girls soccer team. The young sportswomen went from room to room and gave out jelly donuts and surprises for the children.
