Three weeks ago, a women from Ashdod gave birth to triplets at Laniado Hospital in Netanya. This week, the third sibling reached the desired weight and the entire family returned home.
Following the onset of labour pains, the woman from Ashdod arrived at Laniado Hospital in Netanya to give birth. After a good and uneventful birth, the three babies were taken to the hospital’s Neo-Natal Intenive Care Unit.
Pre-mature birth is commonplace with triplets, but the newborns often need to remain in the NICU for several weeks until they gain strength and reach the desired weight. After just two weeks, two of the babies were strong enough to be released, but at the mother’s request, they were transferred to the hospital’s neo-natal nursery, so that she would not have to split her time running back and forth between the babies at home in Ashdod and the infant in the NICU in Netanya.
The two siblings remained in the nursery until their brother in the NICU grew strong enough to go home. This week, after undergoing examinations and reaching the desired weight, he was also released, and the whole family, which now numbers five, returned home to Ashdod.
