Laniado Pediatric Department awarded 'outstanding lecturer award'
After a year of training at Laniado Hospital’s Pediatric and Neonatal Departments, medical interns from the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine responded with positive feedback about the quality of the training they received. At a festive ceremony held at the Technion, Dr. Yaakov Schechter, Dr. Meir Weisbrod and Dr. Nechama Sharon were awarded Outstanding Lecturer Certificates.
This distinguished honor is given to senior physicians who train interns and is based on a variety of parameters that are relevant to the training process. Feedback is provided by the interns with absolute anonymity so that the results are not subject to influence by external factors. "Training fledgling doctors is part of our credo at Laniado, as well as mine personally,” says Dr. Weisbrod. “I am happy to have had the privilege of helping to develop the next generation of medicine in Israel. I have no doubt that the cooperation between the Technion and Laniado will continue to bear fruit also in the future."
Dr. Avinoam Skolnik, the medical director of Laniado and Professor Zvi Shimoni, the academic director, state, "We are proud of the quality of training that we provide to young doctors at Laniado. Their training is an integral part of the work of medical staff and we are working to expand this cooperation."
