On Monday 9 November, during a special ceremony, Laniado Hospital said goodbye and thank you to a cohort of military reserve volunteers who gave their time to help support the logistics team at the hospital.
The Home Front Command soldiers have completed a four-month extended term of service, in addition to the lengthy service they performed during the first wave of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The soldiers supported the hospital in a variety of logistical tasks, helping to transport patients, assisting the administrative team at the respiratory emergency department, conducting the initial questioning before entering the hospital, and much more.
The company commander, Captain Shirel, said, "we all felt very significant during these months, all the soldiers volunteered for this important task of their own free will and saw it as a great privilege!"
Laniado Hospital, CEO Mr. Nadav Chen thanked the soldiers and said, "The cooperation between the army and the hospital is very welcome, you have shown initiative, responsibility and a can-do attitude and you have taken on some of the heavy burden that the logistics staff bears. My blessing to you is that we will meet in civilian life and not in another wave”
