CORONAVIRUS: The Netanya born 2019 Judo World Champion is selling his prized judo possessions to raise funds for ventilators at the hospital.
Sagi Muki, is doing everything he can to help fight the virus and support the support the hospital, through the online giving platform giveback.co.il. Muki has gone as far as enlisting his winning judo suit (185,000 NIS), to be used as a weapon to fight against the war of Corona. Other items include; a belt from the World Championship (2,000 NIS), three world championship patches (5,000 NIS each) and a personal training session (750 NIS).
Muki is supporting the hospital where he was born, as he deeply believes it is his duty to pay it forward and give back his appreciation to a place that treated and invested in him as well as other Netanya residents.
Muki comments that he feels privileged to be in a position where he can influence. “I see what is happening in Italy, where there is a lack of machines and people of a certain age are giving up. Every soul of our people is important… I want to give as much relief as possible. My goal is to raise funds for as many ventilators as possible, to eliminate the need.” He also remarks that Israel is a strong nation, having gone through many wars, is now facing a war of a different kind.
