Dear Friends and Partners,
We are going through a difficult and challenging time. In addition to fighting every day for your health, that of your families and loved ones, you must also fight for the pursuit of your business in a very uncertain economic situation. At Laniado Hospital we are literally fighting coronavirus every day.
People get up every morning and don’t know if their employees will be able to come to work, or if ordinary legal or logistical actions will be possible. We can only imagine how much stress and pressure you experience every day; how many people are hanging onto the critical decisions you have to make by force of circumstances.
We are all together in this war. Each of you and us, as the hospital management, will fight, and with God’s help, we will defeat the Coronavirus together!
I consider it appropriate to keep you informed of what is happening today in Laniado, concerning our fight against the virus:
-
Last week, we opened a special Corona – crown department. This department is located in the haematology Department area, which contains 30 beds. This apartment has five beds with respiratory assistance. We installed a remote-controlled system there (the Big Brother room). Due to the opening of this department, the guards, doctors, nurses, cleaning assistants and caretakers were increased, and its director was appointed: Dr. Levinger.
-
We have a biological screening centre in an outdoor tent with two dashboard stations and several other ambulatory stations.
-
We bought a lot of protective gear, pharmaceuticals, and consumables. To this end, a large tent has been set up as an additional warehouse for emergency stocks. The total investment of the Laniado hospital for the special department, this biological screening centre and all this vital medical equipment amounts to approximately $2 million.
-
There are currently eight patients suffering from coronavirus within this department: three in a mild state, four in a moderate state and one in a serious state, sedated and under artificial respiration.
-
Also, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, we are in the process of opening an additional department in the fight against this pandemic.
-
At the request of the Ministry of Health, our outpatient medicine activity has been reduced.
-
We are currently speaking to anyone who could help us (companies and individuals, in Israel and around the world) to buy this vital medical equipment such as respirators, monitors, etc.
We are living in a period that is completely out of the ordinary, even historically speaking. However, with gods help and shoulder to shoulder joint work, we will win together!
We will continue to keep you informed of what’s going on as well as our up-and-coming projects.
We are thinking of you, take care of your health and your families. At the same time, we pray and hope that the creator of the world will bless you, bring you abundance and that business will continue to flourish as before.
Be strong, take care of yourself! On this occasion, we wish you and your family a happy and closure Passover.
With great friendship and esteem,
Meir Mark, Executive Vice President,
